Description
Carlos IIII gold 8 Escudos 1805-FJ, KM54, highly lustrous AU, a nice original example with a typically soft strike on the bust but no real circulation wear evident. There is one small lamination on the base of the bust. Scarce variety with the S for the denomination punched over an errantly placed 8. The 8 may also be punched over an S!From the Besalú Collection.
