Description

Ferdinand VI gold 8 Escudos 1751 So-J MS61 NGC, Santiago mint, KM3, Cal-824, Onza-644. A type rarely seen in higher tiers of preservation and generally to great interest. The piece at hand showcases attractive harvest-gold patina wholly enveloping crisply rendered devices displaying only a hint of weakness towards the center, a trait commonly associated with these milled gold issues of Santiago. For the sake of accuracy, we note hairlines witnessed across the fields as the likely hinderer of finer technical designations.
