Description

Ferdinand VII gold 8 Escudos 1817/6 So-FJ MS61 NGC, Santiago mint, KM78, Cal-1875. An aesthetically refined representative leaving an impression of visual balance and quality that render this offering a highly collectible example of its type. Ample mint brilliance abounds, most notably to the reverse, which faces up much finer than the assigned grade would indicate. A pleasing mellow resplendence fully pervades the example at hand, limited from loftier designations due to the presence of grade-limiting wisps and marks. A scarce overdate type of which we've only handled once before.
