Description

Republic brass Pattern 8 Escudos ND (c. 1845) MS62 NGC, KM-PnA4, MC-Unl. Struck in Paris by Trelon, Weldon et Weil. Pairing the old obverse design from the 8 Escudos of 1818 to 1834 with a very similar reverse design to that adopted on the 8 Escudos of 1835. Though dated to 1835 on the holder, we note that the company that produced this pattern was not founded until 1844. Tied for the best grade at NGC.

Metal: Brass
