Republic gold Pattern 100 Escudos ND, choice Proof with an attractive cameo bust of Bernardo O'Higgins, faint hairlines. A massive coin weighing 96 grams and measuring 50 mm. Unlisted in the SCWC and undated, but this portrait of O'Higgins was used on the regular coinage beginning in the 1970's. Very rare and possibly unique.Auction Info
