Hsüan-t'ung Dollar Year 3 (1911) MS64 PCGS, Tientsin mint, KM-Y31, L&M-37A. No period, without extra flame, DDO variety. Laudable preservation here from this ubiquitous Empire Dollar that so rarely sees daylight outside of lower mint state designations. The near-Gem condition is immediately palpable here, as nacreous luster circumnavigates the flan, mingling with the dragon and clouds in a most dramatic fashion. A hint of pewter tone provides additional character. A prime item for those looking to upgrade this type in their collection.
