Description

Flashy Pattern Dragon Dollar

Hsüan-t'ung Pattern Dollar ND (1910) MS61 PCGS, Tientsin mint, L&M-24, Kann-219, WS-0036, Wenchao-98 (rarity 2 stars). A stunning Chinese Pattern Dollar featuring a more stylized Dragon depiction than generally seen on Kuang-hsü versions that is utterly captivating. As a type, this is one of the most collectible Chinese Dollars available to collectors, pattern or otherwise. Though clearly lightly handled, as evidenced by moderate abrasions and light hairlines, powerful Prooflike brilliance remains and it is noteworthy in-hand. Lightly mottled, pearlescent toning is a worthy lens through which to appreciate such an important Chinese numismatic item. An exciting piece that we anticipate will be highly contested as it passes the auction block.

MS61 PCGS。
