Qing Dynasty. De Zong Engraved Master Cash ND (1887-1898) Certified 92 by Gong Bo Grading, Board of Revenue mint (North Branch), cf. Hartill-22.1278 (for standard issue), Jen-1683. "Guang Xu tong bao." 24.0x1.6mm. 5.0gm. Immediately recognizable, distinguished by the clear quality and level of detail of the rendered devices and their subsequent level of preservation, besting the last example of this coveted type by a grade-point. As the tide and understanding of these sought-after issues continues to rise, so too do their auction appearances, with two of this type within this very auction.
