Republic Hsu Shih-chang "Pavilion" Dollar Year 10 (1921) MS63 PCGS, Tientsin mint, L&M-864, Kann-676, WS-0101. Reeded edge, with lower legend on reverse variety. One of the most sought-after Republican-era Dollars, celebrating the opening of the Peking Union Medical College Hospital. This type especially benefits from designations in Choice and finer, as the reverse architectural scene communicates more convincingly with the preserved highpoint detail. The flan offers a snowy appearance in the interior, bordered by a halo of drab tone at the rim, a reserved but striking color palette.
