Republic Yuan Shih-kai "Plumed Hat" Dollar ND (1916) MS62 NGC, Tientsin mint, KM-Y332, L&M-942, Kann-663, WS-0097. Struck for the inauguration of Yuan Shih-kai as Emperor Hung-hsien. A magical issue for Chinese collectors pairing two cherished numismatic motifs; General Yuan Shih-kai in his military dress and "Plumed Hat", and the "Flying Dragon" reverse. Light hairlines persist in the fields, commensurate with the grade assignment, but die-polish, semi-Prooflike brilliance, and cabinet patina dominate the visual aesthetic and provide significant eye-appeal overall. An intriguing pedigree for this coin is noted, originating from the ANS Museum Collection where it was acquisitioned in 1937. We anticipate the competition for a coin of this caliber to be spirited on auction day.

1916年袁世凱像中華帝國洪憲紀元壹圓銀幣。MS62 NGC。
天津造幣廠。此幣是為紀念袁世凱登基稱洪憲皇帝而發行，並集兩款經典意象於一身，正面為袁世凱身穿軍裝和高櫻冠的威武肖像，背面則為飛龍圖案。底板散落著輕淡的髮絲痕，與評分相稱，但模具打磨痕跡、半精製光澤以及窖藏包漿更為矚目震撼，造就了非凡卓絕的整體外觀。此幣流傳有序，先是出自美國錢幣學會博物館集藏，並於1937年被購入。敝司預料這枚出類拔萃的珍品將會在今天的拍賣會上引起一番熱烈競投。
