Fukien. Republic nickel "Fuzhou Shipping Bureau" Medallic 10 Cents Year 3 (1914) AU55 PCGS, Fukien mint, Duan-3666. 19mm. Purportedly struck as a mule, both facets displaying the reverse design of the sought-after Yuan Shih-kai Medallic 10 Cents (cf. Duan 3668) commemorating the Fuzhou Shipping Bureau. This muling has appeared at auction a handful of times in recent years in the 20 Cent size variations, but this 10 Cent size is more elusive with seemingly no appearances at auction in recent memory. Our offering is the better of just two examples at PCGS, wears a smoky moss patina, and hosts much intrigue for the collector of eccentric Chinese rarities.

民國三年（1914）「福建船政局」鐵錨幣壹角鎳幣。AU55 PCGS。
福建造幣厰。19毫米。此幣據聞為騾幣，正面背均展示了深得人心的袁世凱壹角的背面設計，以紀念福州船政。這枚騾幣的貳角版本在近年的拍賣上現身數次，但壹角的吸引力更盛，似乎在近年的拍賣中毫無影縱。按PCGS的記錄，僅有兩枚評分更佳。此幣包覆著煙灰色包漿，對於熱愛非主流中國珍罕錢幣的收藏家而言實在趣味無窮。
