Hunan. Republic Dollar Year 11 (1922) MS65+ PCGS, Changsha mint, KM-Y404, L&M-867, Kann-763, WS-0930. An astounding representative of a difficult "souvenir" type, struck to commemorate the promulgation of the Hunan Provincial Constitution. Often witnessed in much lesser tiers of preservation and with conditional modifier, the piece on offer remains a breath of fresh air. Struck with exacting precision, resulting in satiny fields beneath that lay host to a generous mint brilliance, this specimen is of clear superiority to most and rank near the peak of both certified populations.
