Astounding Kirin Rarity

Kirin. Kuang-hsü Dollar CD 1908 MS62 PCGS, Kirin mint, KM-Y183b, L&M-576, Chang Foundation-48 (this coin), Kann-569, WS-0528. Manchu type. An incredible representative of this provincial trophy and absolute rarity, where examples even moderately handled or impaired generate substantial sums when seen at market, and based on a brief auction survey is an infrequent occurrence at best. Displaying laudable boldness owed to a firm strike, which provides instant verification of additional care and attention to detail that accompanied the piece's production on this typically crude, poorly struck issue. Dressed in a gentle nacreous tone that shimmers upon illumination, elevating an already superior eye appeal that benefits from its Mint State preservation. While witnessed a dozen or so times in the last two decades at auction, every one of those examples pales in comparison to the present, outpacing both Norman Jacobs examples (AU53 and AU58), and the ex. Goodman/Kann example (XF40) by leaps and bounds.

震撼人心的「戊申年」吉林造珍品

戊申（1908年）吉林造光緒元寶「中心滿文」七錢二分銀幣。MS62 PCGS。
吉林造幣廠。中心滿文版。這枚戊申年吉林龍洋乃系無可比擬的省造珍品，鑄額稀少，品相罕見。市場上出現的例子大多帶有觸痕或損傷，但仍締造出可觀的成交金額。在簡短地檢索拍賣記錄後，可見頂尖品相者亮相的次數屈指可數。此例鑄打透徹有力，圖文綫條俐落分明，足見鑄造及保存時份外用心。幣面包覆著珍珠質感的輕淡包漿，在燈光照射下閃閃生輝，令本已出類拔萃的原廠狀態品相更上一層樓。雖然此幣在過去二十年間曾有十來例於拍賣中亮相，但與當前此例相比都黯然失色，非但比諾曼雅格斯的兩例（AU53及AU58）更勝一籌，古德曼/耿愛德的一枚更是望塵莫及（XF40）。
