People's Republic of China. Lunar gold Dragon 500 Yuan (5 ounce) 1988 PR69 Ultra Cameo NGC, KM199, Fr-B65. Housed in an NGC Jumbo holder. Obv. Three dragons in central circle with four dragons and value (500 Yuan) around. Rev. Great Wall with date below. A superb example of this large, Lunar gold issue. The strike is bold and the frosted devices contrast nicely with the deeply mirrored fields. This is the first gold 500 Yuan produced for the Lunar series with a mintage of only 3,000 pieces.
