Description

1863 Lewis & Moses, Detroit, MI, F-225AT-4a1, R.10, MS65 Brown NGC. Furman H. Lewis and Lucien Moses issued this Store Card in 1863. They list themselves as Dealers in Crockery & Glassware on the token, and simply "crockery" in the 1862 and 1863 city directories; the business is not listed in the 1864 directory, but Furman is back listed as in the crockery business in 1865. Here is still another unique Plain Edge copper specimen, struck by John Stanton at his shop in Ohio. Predominantly chocolate-brown though orange-red outlines the letters and stars. Intricately struck and essentially void of detractions.
