Scarce Crosslet 4 Variety
1834 $5 Crosslet 4 XF40 ANACS. Second Head, Crosslet 4,
Breen-6503, McCloskey 5-D, R.4. A midrange example of this very
scarce variety, which David Akers stated "is many times more rare
than the 1834 Plain 4." The 1834 Crosslet 4 is actually the least
available issue of the design type. The surfaces of this coin show
light to moderate abrasions and moderate even wear.(Registry values: P3)Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 8172, GSID# 8857)
