1834 $5 Plain 4 AU55 NGC. Breen-6501, McCloskey 1-A, R.3. A richly detailed apricot-gold example of this first-year Classic type coin. Luster accompanies all design crevices, and wear is chiefly confined to the forehead and curls. The obverse exhibits many minuscule abrasions but none are of individual importance.(Registry values: P1)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# E2KE, PCGS# 8171, GSID# 8856)
