Description
1834 Classic Five Dollar, MS61
Plain 4, No Motto, HM-3
1834 $5 Plain 4, HM-3, R.2, MS61 NGC. Semiprooflike fields
and frosty devices greet the viewer of this nicely struck
olive-green first-year Classic type coin. One thin diagonal line is
noted below the beak, but the surfaces are generally smooth for the
designated grade. Classic gold was saved to a greater extent than
predecessor series due to reduced tenor, yet certified examples are
predominantly in VF to AU grades.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# E2KE, Variety PCGS# 765193, Base PCGS# 8171, GSID# 376230)
