Description
1834 HM-3 No Motto Half Eagle, MS61
Inaugural Issue of The Type
1834 $5 Plain 4, HM-3, R.2, MS61 NGC. Glistening green-gold
surfaces exhibit light hairlines throughout, but only a handful of
marks on the cheek warrant mention. A few of the uppermost strands
of hair are all that exhibit striking weakness. The 1834 is the
first and most available date of this half-decade long series, and
the HM-3 is tied for status as its most available representative.
This coin would make a wonderful addition to a type set.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# E2KE, Variety PCGS# 765193, Base PCGS# 8171, GSID# 376230)
