Well Struck 1834 Plain 4 Half Eagle, MS61

1834 $5 Plain 4 MS61 NGC. First Head, Breen-6501, McCloskey 3-B, R.2. The obverse shows a plain 4 and the 34 in the date distant, while on the reverse the eagle lacks a tongue, and there is no motto above its head. This well struck piece displays partially prooflike fields that offer relatively good contrast with the devices. Minute marks define the grade.(Registry values: P1)
