Description
Frosty 1834 Plain 4 Classic Half Eagle MS62
1834 $5 Plain 4 MS62 PCGS. First Head, Breen-6501, McCloskey 3-A, R.3. Although reportedly a fairly obtainable die pairing, we have seen only a handful of 3-As over the past few years. This is a frosty yellow-gold example with excellent sharpness over the central details. Moderate scuffiness in the fields and a shallow mark down the cheek limit the grade.(#8171) (Registry values: P1)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# E2KE, PCGS# 8171, GSID# 8856)
