Description

1834 Plain 4 Half Eagle, Appealing MS60
First Head, Script 8

1834 $5 Plain 4, Script 8 MS60 NGC. First Head, Breen-6501, McCloskey 3-B, R.1. Far more eye appeal is present for the grade than might be thought, although it is given due to scattered abrasions and some light hairlines that appear on each side of the golden-yellow surfaces but most noticeable on the reverse, above the eagle. One larger mark appears on Liberty's throat, but collectors of early gold will find much to admire here.
