1835 $5 AU50 NGC. First Head, Breen-6504, McCloskey 1-A, R.2. The numeral 5 in the denomination is almost completely under the fletchings. A softly lustrous, briefly circulated sun-gold example, this faintly abraded piece shows elements of orange and green on each side. Well struck aside from the usual softness at Liberty's temple and the centers of the stars.(Registry values: P1)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25RV, PCGS# 8173, GSID# 8862)
