1835 $5 AU58 NGC. First Head, Breen-6504, McCloskey 1-A, R.2. One of six known die marriages for the date, 1-A is interesting for its absent arrow shafts within the eagle's claw. This example has a few subdued marks on the left obverse field, but the remainder of the surfaces, including the portrait, are unblemished. Crisply struck and untoned.(Registry values: P1)
