1835 $5 MS62 NGC. Breen-6504, First Head, McCloskey 1-A, R.3. Well struck for the type, with only minor softness of detail on stars 4 and 5. The cheek is refreshingly free from abrasions, and the luster is bright and extensive. Classic Half Eagles are available in XF and even AU grades, but are notoriously elusive in Uncirculated condition. Population: 9 in 62, 22 finer (10/02).
