Description

1836 $5 AU58 NGC. Second Head, Large Date, McCloskey 2-B, R.4. A faint vertical die crack (as made) wanders through the 6 in the date. Liberty's forehead curls and the left side of the shield have minor softness of strike, but the remaining portions of the devices are sharp. Considerable semi-prooflike luster combines with relatively unabraded surfaces for impressive eye appeal.
