Nice Near-Mint 1836 Half Eagle, Third Head, Breen-6510
1836 $5 AU58 NGC. Third Head, Breen-6510, McCloskey 3-C, R.2. The bright lime-green and chartreuse surfaces display glassy, semi-prooflike fields. The design features are sharply rendered and the only noticeable wear occurs on the eagle's right (facing) wing tip. Wispy marks are noted in the fields and a sizeable abrasion appears on the upper reverse, just below ES OF. (Registry values: P1)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25RY, PCGS# 8174, GSID# 8864)
