Description

Frosty, Select Unc. 1836 Half Eagle

1836 MS 63 NGC. A select, frosty example of this second most common Classic Head issue, but a difficult type coin at the mint state level. The devices are boldly struck in all areas and the yellow-gold surfaces suffer only from a paper-thin planchet rift on the reverse that graduates into an irregularity on the rim just to the right of 12 o'clock.
