1837 $5 MS61 NGC. Breen-6512, McCloskey 2-B, R.2. The Large Date, Large 5 variety, one of three die combinations for this scarcer Philadelphia date. The Block 8 and single curl on the forehead confirms the variety. Bright yellow-gold surfaces exhibit well-struck design elements. Scattered ticks do not disturb.
