Description

Pleasing MS 63 Classic Head Half Eagle

1838 $5 MS 63 PCGS. Large Arrows, Small 5. Breen-6514. Boldly defined with full mint frost. Minor contact marks are evident, but none command singular attention. This example is at the upper levels of MS 63 and the initial appearance is that of a higher graded coin. This variety is the more available of the two 1838 types and represents a wonderful opportunity for the type collector to acquire a select Classic Head half eagle.
