Slightly Prooflike 1838-D Half Eagle

1838-D AU 55 PCGS. Well struck with slightly prooflike surfaces. The overall coloration is a medium green-gold hue with deeper coppery-rose patina at the lower obverse and along much of the reverse periphery. Some scattered marks, not at all out of keeping with the assigned grade, can be seen in the fields.
