1834 $2 1/2 Classic MS61 NGC. Breen-6138, Small Head, R.2. Well struck for the type, and the yellow-gold surfaces are refreshingly unabraded. Bright luster illuminates the stars, legends, eagle, and hair. The 1834 Classic quarter eagle and half eagle were the first gold issues to extensively circulate. PCGS has certified examples in grades as low as Good 4.(Registry values: P1)
