1834 $2 1/2 Classic MS64 Prooflike NGC. Large Head, Breen-6140, McCloskey-A, R.3. An outstanding example from the first year of William Kneass' short-lived Classic Head series. Stunning prooflike reflectivity highlights the powerfully impressed design elements. Careful inspection with a loupe reveals only a couple of pin-sized handling marks. This issue is rare with prooflike surfaces. Census: 5 in 64 Prooflike, 2 finer (8/09).
