    Description

1834 Classic Quarter Eagle, MS 62 PCGS

1834 $2 1/2 Classic MS 62 PCGS. Small Head. When compared to the Liberty and Indian quarter eagles, the Classic series is underrated in all Mint State grades. The first year of this design, the 1834 does, however, have a strong following among gold type collectors. The green-gold example that we highlight here exhibits bright, moderately reflective fields and an above average strike. There are only a few, well scattered abrasions on both sides.
