    Description

Select 1834 Large Head Classic Quarter Eagle

1834 $2 1/2 MS63 PCGS. McCloskey-A, Breen-6140, Large Head, R.3. The widely spaced AM in AMERICA contributes to the variety's attribution. The Large Head type displays prominent hair curls when compared with its Small Head counterpart. Exceptionally well struck for the era, the eagle is needle-sharp while the letters in LIBERTY have only slight softness. Extensive bright luster and relatively unmarked surfaces confirm the grade. Encapsulated in a green label holder.(#7692)
