1835 $2 1/2 AU58 NGC. McCloskey-1, R.2, the variety with the widely spaced AM in AMERICA. The reverse die was also used to strike 1834 quarter eagles. The stars are intricately struck, while the centers show only moderate incompleteness. Luster dominates the borders, eagle, and hair.(Registry values: P1)
