    1835 Two and a Half, Variety 6, MS63
    Infrequently Seen This Fine

1835 $2 1/2 MS63 NGC. Breen-6141, Variety 6, R.2. Among Classic Head quarter eagles, the 1835 is a plentiful issue, although it becomes conditionally rare in MS63, and finer pieces are exceedingly so. This accessible but rarely seen Select example displays vibrant yellow-gold mint luster with a few scattered marks, as are consistent with the grade. The high points of Liberty's hair curls and the central shield area of the reverse show minor strike softness. Census: 14 in 63, 7 finer (7/16).
