    Description

Desirable MS 62 1836 Quarter Eagle, Block 8 Variety

1836 $2 1/2 Block 8 MS 62 PCGS. Due to its status as the highest mintage (547,986 pieces) Classic quarter eagle, the 1836 is a popular issue among type collectors. Relatively available in lower grades, this issue is, however, quite scarce in Mint State. This is a richly colored, green-gold example whose surfaces exude originality. The strike is bold and both sides display a lightly abraded, frosty appearance.
