Mint State 1836 Two and a Half
Script 8, Head of 1835
1836 $2 1/2 Script 8 MS61 NGC. Head of 1835, Breen-6143,
McCloskey-D, R.2. The eagle's neck, wings, and claws are well
struck, as are the obverse stars. The hair curls above the coronet
are also bold. Only the very center of the coin, which includes the
hair curl above the ear and the shield lines, exhibits moderate
softness of strike. The pale gold surfaces are minimally abraded,
and the margins and devices are lustrous.(Registry values: P1)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25FU, PCGS# 7694, GSID# 68429)
