Description

Script 8 1836 Two and a Half, MS62

1836 $2 1/2 Script 8 MS62 PCGS. Head of 1835, Breen-6143, McCloskey-D, R.2. This late die state coin shows a rim-to-rim die crack on the obverse that begins above star 6 and terminates between stars 12 and 13. Always scarce in mint condition, this is an especially lustrous example. Softly defined on the hair curls, as usual, only slight abrasions account for the grade.
