Scarce 1837 Two and a Half, MS62
1837 $2 1/2 MS62 NGC. Breen-6145, Variety-16, R.2. Although its mintage of 45,080 pieces is similar to that of the 1838, the 1837 Classic quarter eagle is a scarcer coin in all grades. The present sun-gold example has lustrous borders and devices and exhibits a good strike for the series. Census: 16 in 62, 9 finer (3/12).Ex: Charles O.
