Scarce 1837 Two and a Half MS62
1837 $2 1/2 MS62 NGC. McCloskey-B, R.2. A lustrous example that has a good strike save for minor blending on the center of the shield. Smooth save for a small mark beneath the chin. A low mintage date, since commercial need was met by a large 1836 production. Census: 19 in 62, 4 finer (7/08).(Registry values: P2)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25FX, PCGS# 7695, GSID# 8245)
