Description

Well-Detailed 1838-C Quarter Eagle, AU Details

1838-C $2 1/2 --Damaged--NCS. AU Details. Variety 1-A, R.3. This coin has the details of an AU55 but the surfaces appear to be lightly pocked as if the coin may have been used in jewelry at one time. However, the "damage" mentioned by NCS is not readily apparent. This coin has an excellent appearance considering its current incarnation in an NCS holder and a careful in-person inspection is advisable.
