Mint State Details 1838-C Quarter Eagle
1838-C $2 1/2 --Genuine--NCS. Variety 1-A. This is an ungraded coin that we grade MS60 Details, incorrectly certified by NCS as a 1938-C! The C mintmark is boldly repunched, as always, and the yellow-orange surfaces show little in the way of distraction save for a couple of minor abrasions through the last two digits of the date. A few scattered ticks fleck the surfaces, but the strike is generous and much appeal remains.(Registry values: P3)Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 7697, GSID# 8257)
