Description
AU Definition 1838-C Two and a Half
1838-C $2 1/2 --Improperly Cleaned--NCS. AU Details. Only a single die pair is known for this difficult introductory Charlotte issue. This is unsurprising given the tiny emission of 7,880 pieces, the lowest in the Classic quarter eagle series. This crisply struck example has little actual wear, but the fields are cloudy from hairlines.(Registry values: P3)Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 7697, GSID# 8257)
