First Year of Issue From the Charlotte Mint

1838-C $2 1/2 -- Improperly Cleaned -- NGC Details. XF. Variety 20. First year of issue from the Charlotte Mint and one of only 7,880 coins produced. Numerous small but individually insignificant abrasions are peppered across the surfaces, as one would expect from this issue.
