    Description

1839/8-C VF 30. Breen-6149. Third Reverse. This reverse is distinguished by a plainly doubled second S in STATES and a hook-shaped stemless berry. The overdates are slightly scarcer than the recut varieties and a bit more popular with collectors. This is a rather well defined coin for the grade with nothing more troublesome in that regard than softness on the obverse stars. The surfaces are characteristic green-gold with a few trivial hairlines detracting very little.
