1839-O Quarter Eagle, Unc Details
1839-O $2 1/2 -- Obverse Repaired -- NGC Details. Unc.
Breen-6152, Variety 27. Always in demand as the only issue of
the Classic Head design from the New Orleans Mint, the 1839-O
quarter eagle claims a mintage of 17,781 pieces. This well-detailed
orange and rose-gold example displays brighter mint luster on the
reverse and there is some evidence of smoothing in the left obverse
field, possibly to remove some graffiti.
