1836 Two and a Half, MS63
Script 8, HM-4, Cracked Dies

1836 $2 1/2 Script 8, HM-4, R.1, MS63 PCGS. CAC. A late die state with diagonal cracks on Liberty's chin, ear, and forehead. The reverse exhibits multiple delicate cracks. This lustrous example is predominantly orange-gold but displays scattered hints of cherry-red. The strike is sharp at the borders though Liberty's ear and the left portion of the shield show inexactness. Marks are minor and mostly relegated to the upper reverse field. Population: 44 in 63 (4 in 63+), 18 finer. CAC: 10 in 63, 10 finer (11/22).
