1836 $2 1/2 Script 8 MS61 PCGS. HM-4, R.1. A satiny Mint State example of this popular type coin issue, showing yellow-gold luster and mainly light, unobtrusive abrasions. A hair-thin scratch in the reverse field above the eagle's left (facing) wing is noted. The obverse is shattered in this die state, possibly contributing to the strike weakness in the centers on both sides.(Registry values: P1)
